Ramps are crucial as they are in short supply and fill up FAST

Would be nice to have trash cans there too

1) More Larger Boat Ramps with plenty of Parking.
2) Dredge inlets more often.
3) Artificial Reefs.

Just my 2 cents.

Billfishin,
the ramp we use has a bathroom! But we have to pay per year though.

Sadly, the license law when passed permitted no money for law enforcement. That came down from legislators and not advocates.

The comment I made about more boats was sarcasm, I would rather see more officers in those boats, lots of tax money going to waste with all them boats sitting on trailors, need more enforcement on the waters not only for fish size and catch but also for the blatent disrespect for no wake zones and other laws being broken.

Bonowell,

"That came down from legislators and not advocates"

It is sad to say, but this economy is going into the dumpster and 09 might be worse than 08. Road taxes are in deficit due to lack of revenues tied to reduced gasoline purchases. When they need let's say, $10 million for public safety, and no readily available assets, the gov't will be looking at other sources for funding. They will justify using all available sources. That's my opinion and you can take it as that. Let's see what happens.

Most officers I have met in Wilmington are excellent at what they do. I don't know what % of fishermen violate the law and maybe more enforcement is needed there.

I am for more boat ramps especially in southeast NC.

I wonder which special interest group got that put in there and why. Makes no sense.

I say we use the money to buy out commercial fisherman, this would stop the use of nets and shrimp trawls in inland and costal waters. If we do this, our recreational fishing will go up and attract more fishermen, increasing the local economy. That is jsut my honest opinion.
