GReetings All,
I heard through the grapevine that they were going to close the Bluefin Season this coming Sunday. Anyone know anything about this?

Check the news article at the NC Waterman site, seems like a quota issue that the feds are still looking in to. Could be a bummer for NC!

It WILL be a BUMMER for NC I am afraid.
I have heard through the grapevine that they are talking about closeing the season this coming Sunday.
On the front page here......you can read all the Tuna Info from NMF.
Just click on the picture of the Tuna.......and it will lay out all the articles in a row for you.
I am trying to keep up with the news as they post it.

Capt. Pete Manuel(Delta Dawn) has been up on Capitol Hill lobbying for us NC fisherman lately and from his report they cannot close the season without 48 hours notice. Also, if they close the season with fish still available, the North Carolina Bluefin Association will file a lawsuit against the fisheries service. Hope they learn their lesson.
