Great appreciation if anyone would be willing to share the Lat/ Long or TD's of a spot off Beaufort Inlet known as the "Shad Boat."

The Shad is nowhere near the Atlas. The shad is on the west side of the shoals and the Atlas is offshore on the east side. It's an easy run from the inlet. It's maked and easy to find. Pick up a chart it's your best bet if you don't no the area.

I fish up there and the Shad is not near the Atlas. If you look at your chart the Shad is a few mile from the Knuckle and Big 10.

There is a Shad Boat, which is at R6, and a Shad Wreck which is on the east side of the shoals. They are fishing for BF's at the Shad Boat/R6 area.

Seems that theres no shortage of Shad boats.
We're looking for the BF. Is this where I heard of a large one was hooked last Thursday? Or is it out by the Atlas where the most pronounced temp break is now?

We started at R6 and went east to Big 10 over to R14 and back to little 10. Didn't mark much fish and the bait seemed real spotty- just picked up false albacore and a couple of kings.
Probably out too far?

The Shad Boat that you are looking is West of the Shoals it is a red bouy between the Trawler & Knuckle bouy. There is also a shad boat wreck near the tanker but no one ever calls it that because it is so close to the tanker.

Thanks for the comeback Shane,

We went by the spot and kept on going further out because it didn't look like much there. Also I thought that 64 degree water was a little cold, because of the previous weeks blitz when it was 68 degrees at the 10.

So Like the old saying goes, "...to catch fish, you gotta put your time in."

And so shall we.
