I prefer storing everything inside that way the humidity and temperature is controlled, I also have a couple of spinning rods and reels that were stored in the attick for a couple of years and recently pulled them down and they seem to be fine to include the line surprisingly. Whether it actually does make a difference is beyond me (just my opinion). _________________ Yellow 210CC Sea Fox 200 Suzuki I moniter channel 69 ask for "Hook and Ladder"
Wash them good and spray them with crc, it won't hurt the line wipe em down to even the spray and they'll be fine. Just be sure they get some ventilation. If you have lever drags wash em with the drag on then store them with the drag off and clicker on to prevent backlashes. _________________ Donnie (Reel Affliction II)

I spray mine off with a very light mist, just enough to get the salt off. with the drags tight like said above, then spray them down good with Rem-oil. I also keep mine inside away from humidity and sticky fingers
