Since we didn't have any clients that wanted to fish today, Peter and I decided to run over and check out S. caicos. i could see the island in the distance and was curious to check it out. We grabbed an old pack of pre thawed ballyhoo to catch dinner on a coral head first and then head over. We crushed the yellowtails, queen triggers, lane snappers, and coneys. After we got dinner,we shot over to S. Caicos. It's a nice fishing village that's slowly getting a resort or two. We just toured the place by boat and decided to come back when we could spend the night and he'd introduce me to the locals. I can't wait to go back. By the way, you'd never be able to tell from the pics that we never got below 8 foot on the ride over. The water looked 2 foot....it's so gin clear it's unreal.

Capt. John,

great photos. kind of makes me wish i was there. What kind of fishing do you have there in Jan. or Feb. We have a group that usually goes to central america but we are always looking for new venues. also how rough is the water there in Jan and Feb.

It gets pretty rough through the winter months. There's a hard tradewind that blows most of the winter here. However if you can get out on the calm days, there's an awesome bite on huge wahoo. The best fishing her eis in the Spring through the Fall.

I'm ready to hit the deeper bottom man. Just haven't had a chance yet. From what I hear there are some huge black groupers and queen snappers here.
