| The strong winds have been keeping anglers form going offshore lately. Some wahoo, a few tuna, and a few dolphin are being caught. The majority of teh tuna have been blackfins, but a few yellowfins have been caught. Still awaiting that arrival of the schools of yellowfin. Things should be picking up soon. The "smaller" schoolie king mackerel bite has been good out around the 240 Rock and the West Rock area. The bottom fishing for black sea bass and grouper has been good as well. The red drum fishing is still good back in the marshes. The speckled trout are still biting up in the creeks and rivers, with some very nice citation fish being caught. A friend of ours caught a very nice 7 lber just last week. Weather should be warming up and so should the fishing. Go get 'em! |
