Been watching the site for awhile now and figured this would be a great place to get local input on the new business. I will post pics of the build as I figure out how to download to the site. Thank you for your help.

Boat Builder Naming Contest

Ocean Isle Beach, NC has a new custom boat builder. Over the past year I have been working with Donald Blount & Assoc. (naval architects) developing plans for a cold mold 42 foot Express boat. During this process, I was able to hire and convince a master builder to relocate and oversee the project. There is both a heavy Carolina and some Florida influence in the design and build. The facility is complete and construction has begun with the jig being up, bulkheads in, and keel and stringers going in. Now we are at the dilemma of find a name for the company, as I don’t care to have my name in lights. I would prefer to have something that associates the boats to our community and therefore I am asking for help and input from the community in the name. Relating the boats to southeastern North Carolina, Ocean Isle Beach, South Brunswick Islands, Long Bay, etc. would serve as a service to our area in helping keeping us on the map in the fishing world. With that brief introduction, I would like to put out a $500 reward for the person coming up with a name for the boat business. Duplicate names will be decided by the first presented and the final decision on the name will be decided on March 31, 2008. If anyone has any questions or would like more information please feel free to e-mail me. All names should be e-mailed to me at blueh2o@atmc.net.

We have an open door policy at the shop and you are welcome to stop by any time. The shop is located on Hwy 179 between Ocean Isle and Seaside at the Fountain Head Storage complex.

Thank you for your help and support,
Scott Quaintance
