Midnightwind just drop it in at New River/Sneads Ferry and you'll save 40 Minutes to Swansboro. You can then fish out of NR/SF, run your fish back into Bogue & run the ditch right back to NR/SF as we do.

All of this is good buttttttttttttt . just how active is the Swansboro Rescue Squad ? Onslow County funds the EMS Service as in Onslow County EMS . Does the Squad provide rescue services as in Vechicle Extrication , High Level Rescue , Confined Space Rescue , Water Rescue & Land Searchs or do they back up Onslow County on EMS calls ? Alot of this stuff has started being handled by the Fire Departments in the areas .
I think these questions need to be asked .

Backlash, I have no answers to your questions. If you are that concerned about it you should call the Rescue Squad and spaek with someone there. Me personally don't care what they do with the money. If they don't do anything but transport people from Nursing homes to the hospital or doctor, they are still serving the community and deserve all the help they can get. If it were one of your family members they helped I don't think you would have all these questions. Hey guys and gals cant wait to have all of you down for this tourn... I live in Hubert, and am a firefighter in hubert which we mutual aid for swansboro. I have live in the swansboro, cedar point area my whole life. All i can say any help we can give the fire dept's is welcome. we cant live on the money the county gives. we depend on you.
To add to this there will be a benefit in hubert @ the Hubert vol fire dept. May 17 which will be a bbq or chicken or combo plates. single plates will be $5.00 and a combo plate will be $7.00. if you can make it we would to have you. if ou would like to go ahead and get tickets please contact Lt. smith (me) @ (910)358-1483 thank again all.
