Back-Lash lets do it !! We need a good showing from New River and all around this hopefully this will be the first of many more from the Squad. Very affordable for all and the playing field will be as level as it can be for all.

Dog maybe Steve has some questions liked I asked earlier in the post. Many County EMS systems are fully funded by the counties . The days that the Volunteer EMS /Rescue Squads are quickly coming to a end . Infact where some Rescue Squads were taken over by the county , Many of the members have just went to a back room to cuss & bitch about the counties taking over the services . And actually do not a damn thing for the communities in which they live .These taking over of these Squads was a federally mandated law.
Some systems use these Squads as a backup , other systems look at them like they are a red headed stepchildren .
It appears that Swansboro Rescue is still active , and if so I applaud them . I also hope that they get great support from this Tournament .
Dog I gave 20 years as a Volunteer in both Rescue and on the Fire Side.
I am also a full time Paramedic in 2 counties . So I have done the walk and I know the Talk
Steve if we do a Take the Troops thingy from the big town of Sneads Ferry ... I am in !!!

as i would love to be part of it too. and yes there are alot of dept that have been taken over by the counties or local gov of some kind. however even these dept need suplimental funding to survive. the system as we know it is failing the fire and ems system. we have asked for a .02 rase in taxes to help with the raising cost to run however have been turned down as many other depts have. there for we have to rely on the people to help this is one way to help us and give a little for the help. back-lash i too have been on a vol for 18 yrs and 7 yrs in a paid dept and i have also been on a dept that ran out of money for pid people and thank god for the vol who came in and worked for nothing to insure people got the service they needed. (ran out of money because people bad mouthed the events we had and we didnt receive the money we needed. this is why i get so upset when people say things like this.

You know there are alot of good causes out there and I think it is a personal preference as to which ones we choose to support. Most of us support more than one. Everytime we fish a tournament we are supporting a needed cause. I support the troops everytime I get a chance as much of you do but there are others out there that need support as well. I don't understand the negative comments being made but most of the time the one's making the negative comments are the very ones that do very little or nothing at all to support anything. _________________ AMANDA GAIL FISHING TEAM

David since you have been the primary source of infomation on this web site as well as others ,,,,, if new river river inlet is the boundry ... does that mean you can not use the inlet and fish south & west of it or is it that you can only exit beaufort , bogue or new river .
If you can not answer this maybe you can call grumpy and have him make a post about this tourney .
This could be the type of tourney that folks are looking for since the cost of fuel has sky rocketed

You can go out of New River and I think they said E bouy was going to be the boundry that way but they will clarify all that at the Captains meeting. _________________ AMANDA GAIL FISHING TEAM

I just spoke to Tommy Yow who is helping put on the tournament and the boundries will be the Cape Lookout Shoals (You cannot fish the East side) and if you draw a line from New River inlet to E bouy and project that line on off shore, you cannot cross that line. _________________ AMANDA GAIL FISHING TEAM
