Went out to Rich's Fri. and the shoaling that was going on this summer has simply continued. The channel that is/was forming at the northern tip of Fig8 appears to be deepening with the shoal/island between it and the main channel to the north growing. The flat inland of that was barely below water when I was there and it was high tide (although a very low neap high) Only went about halfway out the main channel It seemed plenty deep the whole visible width. Seas were pretty flat with a little bit of a rise to the tide but you could still clearly see the gap in the breakers. Had been looking for others opinion of this inlet as it is my closest. I've run it for several years with my 17' Cobia but my dad recently got a 22' Grady that we are a little more concerned with.
