It's been a while since I posted any reports from down here, so here goes. Just got back from NC visiting my mom on Mon. afternoon. Just been getting some conch and doing a little reef fishing. Going deep tomorrow and hopefully the fish cooperate. Here's some stuff from the past couple of days. I wish I had video of today, had the Sobel family from NYC and we crushed the yellowtail and mutton snapper. It was a wide open bite for 3 solid hours and I didn't have time to video or take many pics because I was too busy baiting hooks and unhooking fish. I managed a few though. The videos are from yesterday when myself and Pter(another guide here) went and got conch for the restaurant. He got them while I drove the boat. I had an easy day for once. Laughing

Nice Cuda. Looks like he did some work on your catch. Did you send him to watery grave?

Never weighed them. I'm guessing around 30lbs.

Didn't have any clients today, but this afternoon Peter,Creighton, and I went on a killing trip. You see, fish seems to be like currency here. If you give out free fish.....you get favors. Between the Philipino ,Turks Islander, and Haitian workers here and in Provo.....free fish will get you whatever you need. The ladies at customs at the airport....free fish= no duties. The ladies at the bank...free fish= no waiting in line to cash checks. Our housekeeping staff....free fish= rooms and laundry done twice a week. Even the Premier of the Turks and Caicos loves some free fish. So we went to get whatever we could and we got just what everyone wanted. yellowtail, jacks, barracuda, grunts, etc. Going reef fishing in the morning with the Sobel boys again before they go back to NYC. Hope we crush them again. I'll post a full report.

Where is that dock at? I know it isn't Turtle Cove on Grace Bay. Going back to Provo May 14- 21, whats biting now? Was down there in April last year and no wahoo or dolphin, but huge snappers on the drop off at 800'.

I'm on Ambergris Cay. I work for the Turks and Caicos Sporting Club. It's a private island about 40 miles off of Provo. The big queen snappers are in the 800' range thick. As soon as we get our GPS back, I'm gonna do some jigging.
