UNCW's CORMP deployed a new wave buoy near the ILM2 buoy. The wave buoy 5 miles east of Masonboro Inlet. The data will be available on Frying Pan Tower in about a week. The data is currently available on the www.cormp.org website. Click on ILM2 on the map to access the wave info.

Have a great time fishing!

Jennifer,
Great to see you on here! Folks this young lady has done LOT for YOU the fishing community of North Carolina.

You should see this data come up on Supermap and the front page buoy map in about a week.

Thanks Jennifer. You have no idea how helpful this information is for those of us inlanders. Nothing's more disappointing that driving for 3 1/2 hours to go fishing only to find that the weather or waves are horrible! The buoy data is invaluable in keeping me from doing this. Arrow real sick

I hate doing that!

I wish there was a good one nearshore from Oak Island. There used to be one 3 miles out of Ocean Isle, but I believe it's gone.
