The Coast Guard Station Oak Island will hold an open house tomorrow (Saturday 5/17). They will have numerous displays from emergency services in the area, Wild Life and Marine Fisheries, some helicopters (at least 1 Apache) and will have boat demonstrations. You will even be able to board their boat for and inspection for a change. The Crew at OI have been working hard this week to get ready for this would like to see as many people as they can. There is no adnmission fee, but if you can a donation of a canned good would be accepted. In addition to meeting with those that make it, they are trying to gather food items for a local food bank. If your plans for fishing get blown out tomorrow, grab the kids and slide over to the Station and enjoy their hospitality and if you have any questions you would definately get them answered then.
The Station is located on Caswell Beach (Under the Lighhouse). Thei times for the Open House are 10 AM until 2 PM.

I think Wilmington PD will have thier SABLE Helicopter there as well.
