What's up everyone? A lot of my family is headed down to Wilmington to visit my wife and I in a couple of weeks. Can anyone give me coordinates for any islands (besides Masonboro) we can pull up to and anchor near Carolina Beach? We will have a bunch of kids with us, and I don't want to deal with the Masonboro traffic and putting in at the Wildlife Ramp at Wrightsville. Thanks in advance!

If you head in the direction of Masonboro, one creek before the back entrance to masonboro there is a nice sand beach on the port side as you head into the creek. Also on low tide some sandbars up in there you can put the boat on. We hit it Sat where there was about 4-6" of water on some of the bars and my 4 year old daughter had a blast walking around and looking for crabs and stuff. Ill see if i can get you a lat long later.

34 09.474N 077 51.047W, if you are coming from CB its just before green # 135 (across from whiskey creek) Thats the closest nice place I know of to CB. Sat there was 3-4 boats around there but it wasnt too crowded. Some days there arent any boats there.
