I have several offshore reels spooled with green PowerPro spectra and every one has stained the mono topshot that is spooled overtop this line.

I am ready to spool another new reel in a similar fashion, and would like to avoid this aggravation.

PP seems good to me...no complaints except the stain on the mono topshot.

Any help or suggestions? Different color PP??

Thanks in advance?

If you think the green is bad, don't try the red. It stained the boat where the water dripped off onto the gunnels. I used both and the yellow seems to stain less, but might not stand out as bad. Once the color washes off, the line doesn't stain bad, it is when it is new. Might try running it way out and dragging it to where you are fishing, see if that helps.

Do yourself a favor and have your local tackle store order you some WHITE Power Pro. It doesn't have any dye in it and will not stain your line. Nobody that I know of stocks it but it does exist. I have it on all of my reels.
