The Park Rangers claim that locals and tourist are endangering the plovers on the beaches at Cape Hatteras. But here are two pictures to look at and see who is harming the creatures on the island. Look closely at the Ranger with the shot gun killing the mother fox. Later they killed her babies and other animals. Don't they have a right to be on the island ? God made them as well as the plovers. It was reported that 21 plovers have been run over on the beach. Guess who killed the most? The report was out of 21 killed, the Rangers were responsible for killing 19. Don't know how true the report was but if we're not allowed to drive in certain areas on the beach and the birds are run over, put two and two together and think who that leaves driving in the restricted areas.

This was emailed to me today. I have not confirmed this.

Jeff when your boating thru Ocracoke Inlet it looks like a ghost beach except for the signs they put every 10 feet it is ridiculous and I know the local businesses are hurting.

When you drive over Oregon Inlet Bridge and see no trucks parked on the point all you see is those signs. It's going to be a hard road for bussiness owner in Hatteras.

That is crazy they kill the natural preditor to protect the bird. So I guess it is ok for the state to go out in the ocean and kill the bull sharks to protect the drum and the tiger sharks to save the turtles?

If I remember, there has been major fights over fox hunting (from horses) in states like Maryland. PETA gave the pony owners a major headache over it. Send the pic's to the papers and to PETA with captions reading THIS IS TERRIBLE WHERE IS PETA TO PROTECT THESE POOR INNOCENT CREATURES!!!! Let them know this was at Audobon's bidding.

Maybe we can sic these moronic groups on each other. They might ignore us for a bit.
