i am heading out tomorrow (thursday) morning out of new river and was hoping to catch a ling or 2 does anyone have an idea on technique, area, bait, rigs? i was planning on buoy hopping hitting the alphabet, weather and AR buoys trolling for spanish and kings between them. any help is appreciated.

Its a hit and miss but you're on target with the bouys. Best advise is have a Pin fish on stand by for the cobia.

I know its tough to post after a long day of fishing, but we are doing the same thing Friday and I would love to hear how you made out and any tricks of the trade. We are going out early for grouper, but have never caught a Cobia and plan on trying in the afternoon. Good luck.
