Sorry I have been lax in writing reports but I have been real busy fishing and working on the business. Have my new website up, a few bugs still so when they are worked out I will post it here. Also some really big news, the new PLAN 9 is in! Hope to pick it up this week so I can post some pics and run some trips!
The last 2 weeks we had some great fishing continue when the weather did not run us off the water. The king mackerel and dolphin bite in the 10-15 mile range was strong with some larger fish showing up of both species. We had a king in the 20+ lb range and a few dolphin in the 10 lb range, nice fish for a half-day! Most of the fish have been on dead cigar minnows fished on Hank Browns or Pirate plugs, the downrigger has been a key some days. Also the spanish have been biting well on the outgoing tides at the inlets up til this week. Since Thursday have not really been as consistent, had some in 15'-20' off Wrightsville but not as good as it has been. Fished a few creeks for drum one day to the north and was rewarded with some nicer upper slot redfish. Most of those fish have been on mullet and peanut pogies. The nice size sharks have been showing up also, some 5'-6' blacktips and lemons, alot of fun on 15-20 lb test!
The fishing has been very good lately, now is the time to go before the summer doldrums take hold. Let's get out there!
