It seems most of the Supermap coordinates don't coincide with the numbers I have found from other maps or the North Carolina reef website.
I am assuming the Super map coordianteas are WGS-84 right? Some numbers I have found to be as much as 1/2 mile off. What am I doing wrong? I am mainly looking at locations around Bogue Inlet.
Thanks

Allen,
The numbers in Supermap are from other folks. Some are good and some suck.
If you find one that is off. Post up the orginal number and the correction and I will correct it.
The numbers for the ARs came directly from the State of NC. I have found them to be accurate.
They are in WGS-84.
If you are in need of numbers maybe you should consider buying the Maps Unique Database. It is only $50.00 and helps a good cause.
It is funny....we put this map together with all these numbers and I bet the corrections I have gotten in 3 years are less than I have fingers and toes.
If you come seeking help and find a number inaccurate....help the next guy out and give us the correction.

Some of the coordinates I have are from other folks and some are from the SEALAKE charts, (don't know how good they are). I dont get up that way to fish much but I am planning a trip in a few weeks and want to have everything in order so that all I have to do is fish. Tell me what you think I'm getting wrong. My coordinates are in bold

I will call a friend of mine that fishes up that way tonight and run over a few of those.
As I suggested. You might consider The Maps Unique Database.
