Inshore fishing has been very good lately. Lots of Flounder on the incoming tide around creek mouths. I like areas that show lots of surface current movement. This oxygenates the water, which is key when water temps are in the mid 80's. Live mullet on small egg weight is my standard rig for flounder. try to use the lightest weight possible to minimize snags. A light weight will not be a noticeable to the flounder and they tend to mouth the hook quicker.
Nearshore their are scattered schools of big spanish in the 27" range. They seem to be plentiful when water is clear and especially on the outgoing tide when bait is being flushed out of the LR inlet. Gotcha plugs and a live mullet on a float will get the hook up.
Also, lots of good size croaker and whiting in the creeks and plenty of ribbonfish and ladyfish around the jetties.
