Left my house at 6:30 Sat. morning, what A white knuckle ride this was, ducking at every bridge and puckering every power line. Made it to Hobucken, got trailer bottomed out on ramp, but it was no match for the Chevrolet Duramax, thanks Andy (Lugerhead). Moved on to the next ramp. Have you ever launched A 33 foot boat in A creek? We did it. Ok, she's in the water now so we assume everything gravy from here,NOT, Had A couple of small grimlins, but nothing major until yesterday (Sunday) Lugerhead was trying to adjust the lift and lost his balance, picture will tell the tale, other than that life is good, Hope the next pictures of this boat will be with some blood, but not ours, enjoyed working on with you Jerry, thanks to Tommy and Luger for there help, can't wait to drag some bait, Jeff (jaws) Williams
He lost his balance while trying to adjust the guide post, which you would think would just be A 2 or 3 foot post which the PVC goes over, but that thing must have weighed 50 or 60 pounds. He tried to catch himself as he was falling and grabbed on to the guide post which he had loose, it just follwed him but unfortunately went across his dome.

so in addition to the humiliation of falling in and getting wet (in november...) he got a trailing bonk on the head as well. Lucky it didn't knock him out while in the water. That could've gotten really ugly.
Reminds me (in a less potential dire situation) about one time at boy scout camp I was chopping on a log, and decided to try and snap it off before done. Put it over another log with the notched "v" over the log. Had a friend stand on the opposite side. I jumped on the lifted side in hopes that my falling weight would break it. The log didn't budge, I lost my balance, fell to the ground, and whammed my chin on the hatchet I'd been using, because like an idiot I hadn't put it down, and tried to use my hand to break the fall of my head. Only 3 stitches, but a nasty scar to live with (runs 90° to the scar I have from try to use my dad's straight edge razor to shave at 4 years old.....it looked cool when he was doing it!)
Sometime's instincts don't help us out very much, and only make us get more hurt. Glad he's OK though.

First of I want to thank Andy for all his help and also for providing the tow vehicle to haul that beast. I feel really bad about what happened and wish it was me instead but Andy is a great guy and never complained once about the situation. Guys the stuff we fool with is DANGEROUS and were over the water weather fishing or working on the dock BE CAREFUL. Bilzo you are correct we discussed the fact had he been knocked unconscious it could have been bad even with two people right there. I also want to thank Jeff this is the hardest working man I know and did 90% off the work on MY boat while I panicked or ran off to do something. When he's reeling in that million dollar fish at the Big Rock next year I hope that makes it worthwhile.
