Took a good group out today about 42 miles for a fun run.

The calmest I have seen the ocean all year by far. Caught some Kings, Mahi, Cobia on the Mean Green Pirate Plugs, and a few Bottom Fish. The Porpoises were putting on a great Sea World Like Show most of the day also.

Water was crystal clear and calm, got tons of great pictures of the fish in the water deep.

Probably a little to calm as the bite was sporadic but all in all a great day on the pond.

Ricky, you need to use a gaff on those fish not a .357 magnum.
Great day on the pond I'd say. thumbsup

Capt Bob

Those deadly accurate 12ft 357 Gaffs were custom made for the Reely Miss-Behavin by a good man at South Chatham Tackle. Wink

I hope so!
I couldn't go out last Saturday and missed out on the calm seas.

So I went Sunday hoping to catch some of the calmer sea in the morning?

No luck!
The wind started blowing before sunrise and blew pretty good and we got rocked pretty good all day plus we got rained on.

Made it out to 5 mile box car for about 2.5 hours before we had to come in.

Caught 1 snake King and a decent Cuda before we had to give it up.
