Key West boats have intriqued me for some time now. I love the boat I have and do not plan on switching now.
Just out of curiosity and since the website doesn't say:
1. What is fiberglass schedule and resin used? Specifically, is there any chop and is the boat made with polyester or vinlyester resin?
2. Do all the fish boxes drain overboard? or do they drain with a macerater pump or into the bilge?
3. Are the scupper and outlets thru hull plastic or bronze?
4. Any wood? If not, are the fiberglass stringers foamed filled or solid?
5. Is there blister protection in the 10 year hull warranty?
6. Is the fuel tank removable without cutting the deck?
7. Is there forward seating? If so, can it built w/o the the forward seating?
8. Is the hull two piece or three piece? What type of hull to deck joint is used. Are the electric connections heat shrunk?
9. Where is the factory?
10. Is the factory amenable to changes? Some production boats, like GW, are not. Contenders and regulators will make almost any change requested.
11. Where can the boat be seen?
I usually reserve these questions for the boat shows and usually end up calling or visiting the factor. Please excuse the questions, I am just curious and love to look at boats. Yes, I am the dreaded tire kicker.

| Dave, The boat is very solid, the outer hull is approximately 1" or better thick. It is a solid boat, and all hardware including drains are stainless and bronze. A good friend of mine recently bought a boat and he wants me to fish with him, so my partner and I have decided to sell the boat pretty much for what we owe. It is a great deal, ready to fish all electronics everything you need to get started with. |
