300' hole 15 miles sse of new river? anyone ever been there and what is it ??

No 300ft hole that close. Maybe 65 miles out.

Looks like a crater on the supermap.I got 337 feet at one zoom level.

Just checked it out. It is there on the SUpermap. Wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it. It about 9-10 ENE of Topsail Inlet. I got 337 ft at the middle. If that is accurate, there must be something donw there worth catching. I am going to have to check it out in the boat.

Must be some sort of anomaly on supermap. Surely someone would know about it if it were there.

It was brought up last year because it was on I-map. I believe Capt. Dave said it was a glitch or something.

I am pretty sure that it is a map issue I have never marked anything that depth with that range around topsail. But who knows it might be there at one point on SM I marked 337 aswell. But here are the cords for the hole 34 20.570 77 30.285 any other input from anyone

Guys.....It is an error in the Coastal Relief Model. It was there in I-Map and it is there in S-Map.

It is not a glitch in what we do....It is as glich in the model itself. At some point I might go in and fix it. At this moment....it is item 15953 on my "To Do" list.

Well I that stinks, however, that is what I expected. 300' hole 8 miles off would be too great.
