I added some pics to this gallery from N. Topsail and Sneads Ferry.

They don't show just how severe the damage was in some areas but maybe it will give you some ideas. Most of the second row houses now on N.Topsail have water under them on high tide. The beach front houses are about 150 - 200 yrds. in the ocean on high tide.
