It would have to be a very calm day before I would be shooting my old goose gun over those blue waters, cause I have only seen them fly when I'm on the move.

This is true.....
I was doing an Overnighter on Gypsy, a 54 foot Custom, we were anchored up bottom fishing about 3 in the morning. We had the spreader lights on and the Flyingfish were everwhere jumping all around us. I was sitting on the stairwell tieing a couple extra rigs and all the sudden flying fish were coming from everywhere. I was under attack! I got hit once in the head and once in the chest.....the one in the chest was hard enough to hurt! The really funny thing about this is where I was sitting is....a good 10-15 feet from the stern. Man these things were making time....
They made good bait too....The Grouper loved'em!

I can picture it now......L.A. shooting at anything he sees flying........ the rest of the fleet watching grouper go by on the bottom..............
