Battled the wind for a few hours Saturday morning. Fishing was pretty slow, but I did manage to catch one nice size slot Redfish and my first Flounder of the season. Both fish were caught on a bucktail jig tipped with crab flavored fish-bites. If the wind will ever lay down, the fishing should lite off!!!

Tight lines to all!!

Cpt. Brent, I'm right there with ya on the Sat. thing... All the worst conditions came together to cause a bad case of the "lockjaw." We worked hard in places trying to hide from the wind and managed just a couple bites with a 17in summer flounder. The summer flounder have begun making a showing around the inlets down our way... have you tried near the inlets your way? We're catching a few southern flounder up the river and the creeks off the sound but most are short. Well, it looks like this weather is lifting... have to go check it out today... later,

Capt. Jeff,

I haven't tried the inlets or nearshore live bottom yet, been pretty rough down here, but I hope to get in on some of that good flounder action pretty soon.

If I know you, your catching fish left and right, wind or no wind. Laughing

Keep up the good work up there in Swansboro land. One of these days I'm going to crash your party and jump on that new Triton with ya'!!!!
