how are the dunes handling it up there, dave? On Sunday at Topsail Island, the high tide was chewing away at the dunes that took a few years to build.

Well....So far I have a couple feet of water downstairs....and I have lost about 1/2 of the awning on the front porch. All of Canal and florida Aves are under water several feet deep and my bet is we have breached near the Pier. (The water came up real fast....to fast to be rain only)

i live at the end od 7th st. in cb and the pond next to my house has risen about 2ft. in 24 hrs. this thing is dumping.

Man I was Whooped.....I crash landed at 9:00pm last night. I just got up this morning at 8:00am....11 hours sleep.....that is so not like me.
Man what a mess I have to clean up today. It sux.
Tally....1/2 the awning on the front porch. 1 piece of fascia on the North side. a couple handfuls of shingles....1 wet ceiling......1 wet wall....water downstairs.
BOO HISS!
That is a bunch of CRAP from a little Tropical Storm!

We were fortunate. I got back Tuesday A.M.
Just in time...Woo-Hoo!
This is the price we must pay to live here and apparently we think it is worth it.

It really doesn't matter where in the world you live, every place has it's own problems and circumstances. You just have to decide which you want to put up with and what you don't. Just a matter of trade offs. Don't you just love it!
