Alright fella's. I have looked all over the web and can't find it. Name this fish caught out of Brown's Inlet last summer.

We caught one out from Parris Island 2 yrs ago, I should say we got the head in after a barracuda got the rest! I think it looks like the yellowtails they catch off the west coast.

This clears it up, its definately a banded rudder although its markings are lighter, the band from eye to pec is the dead give away.........take a look here......... Cool

We went out one day last summer, bottom fishing and caught about 50 of those things, didnt know what they were at the time. They were all pretty small, about the size of the one in the pic

I would not think they were very good. I have used them for bait before and they seem to be very oily. More so than say....Spanish Mackerel.

Thanks guys. You're right. It was really small. You can see how big he was compaired to the clark spoon. I never knew he was on until I reeled him in. I can tell you we never ate him, because, well...I can get fish sticks at McDonalds. Very Happy

i caught 2 jigging bait last year they made good king baits
