Lots of hookups today for all the boats out there. Lots of shorts also. Just before 9:00 Don and I hunkered down to wait, wasn't long when the rt rigger snaps. We both jump and pause to see if it is going to come tight. It does and it's on. It was ripping so we knew we had a keeper. Cleared the mess and drug his ass to the boat in an hour. Shane got a perfect poon shot and it was all over. Nice fat fish. Sorry didn't get a chance to get pics, the buyer met us at the dock and the fish was gone before I thought about it.

I saw the Beast doing battle for a couple hours till I lost sight of him, what a heart breaker, at least he decked one. I heard one boat decked 3 today. One boat decked one, put the mess back out and 10 mins later got another. Today was the day, back at it tomorrow.

Good Job Guys - I am Totally envious

If I was not booked up with Charters this weekend I would jump all over that $100.00 chance to go fight the Giant.

If you have any spots open after the 21st of December Shane I would love to get out with you guys.

As of 11/02/2007 and MAKE SURE you have a HMS permit

The recreational daily bluefin tuna (BFT) retention for limit for HMS Angling and HMS Charter/Headboat vessels (while fishing recreationally) is 1 school BFT (measuring 27 inches to less than 47 inches) Curved Fork Length (CFL) and 2 large school/small medium BFT (measuring 47 inches to less than 73 inches CFL) per vessel per day/trip, effective in all areas, for the entire fishing year. HMS Angling and HMS Charter/Heaboats are also eligible to retain 1 BFT (73 inches or greater) per vessel per year as a “trophy” fish for the boat. These BFT retention limits are effective for all areas, except for the Gulf of Mexico. The Gulf of Mexico is designated as a spawning grounds for BFT and therefore NMFS does not allow vessels, commercial or recreational, to target BFT while fishing in this area. The recreational yellowfin tuna daily retention limit is 3 yellowfin/person. The minimum size for yellowfin and bigeye tuna is 27" curved fork length. There are no recreational limits for bigeye, skipjack or albacore tunas.

If you hold a comm.ticket you can retain 3 fish (>73") per boat a day.
