FreedomToFish.org Description: FreedomToFish.org is the official site for the recreational fishing community to stand together and speak with a unified voice on behalf of healthy fish and our freedom to go fishing.
Fishing is one of America’s most popular pastimes, yet our opportunities to fish are being increasingly threatened on a variety of fronts. Today, the most serious menace is efforts to ban access to vast areas along our nation’s coasts, including some of our most popular fishing hotspots.
We must rally against this dangerous movement now underway to blanket our oceans with marine reserves or America’s 12 million saltwater anglers may lose their opportunity to go fishing. It will not stop with our coasts. If these efforts succeed, it could set a dangerous precedent that could ultimately affect all anglers.
The Freedom to Fish Act is legislation now pending before Congress that recognizes anglers’ proven record of conservation and protects the public’s right to responsibly enjoy our ocean resources.

GreenPeace Description: Greenpeace is a non-profit organisation, with a presence in 40 countries across Europe, the Americas, Asia and the Pacific.
Greenpeace has been campaigning against environmental degradation since 1971 when a small boat of volunteers and journalists sailed into Amchitka, an area north of Alaska where the US Government was conducting underground nuclear tests. This tradition of 'bearing witness' in a non-violent manner continues today, and our ships are an important part of all our campaign work.
